Debbie Russell has engaged in many coalition-building efforts on a local and regional level with a broad range of communities and on a variety of issue fronts. She has worked on many candidate campaigns and issue ballot measures. Debbie currently serves as co-chair of the board of the Central Texas chapter of the ACLU-TX, focusing on police accountability and open government and was a member of the City of Austin's Public Safety Task Force. She also serves as Vice President for the Austin Center for Peace & Justice and as Member-at-Large for the Black Austin Democrats. She has been voted Austin's "Most Active Activist" in the Austin Chronicle's "Best of 2005"; received the first-ever ACLU-TX "Outstanding Activist" award in 2009 and in 2010, received a coveted "Si Se Puede" award from PODER: People in Defense of the Earth and Her Resources.

Christopher holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary, Newburgh, Indiana.

Thirty years working in the Social Services field that includes working in pastoral, small community-based Youth and Family Services as a Youth Advocate and Outreach programmer and direct service, two-year residency as a hospital chaplain for the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, three years working for The Gulf Coast Center MHMR, Galveston, TX as a crisis counselor and case manager for Disaster Services Recovery Team (Hurricanes Katrina and Rita), and the Galveston Housing Authority, and from February 2009-present working as a Rehabilitation Specialist with the ANEW program/ATCMHMR.

1996-present: trained co-facilitator by The Center for the Healing of Racism, Houston, TX; in this capacity co-facilitated community dialogs, trainings and seminars with graduate students and professors,

K-12 school teachers and administrators, K-12 students, members of the Criminal Justice system, Law Enforcement, human services professionals, civic groups, faith tradition groups and clergy, university students and volunteers, non-profit employees or volunteers (such as KPFT Pacifica network 90.1 FM volunteers and staff), different gender and sexual preference groups, Houston Community College professional staff for Days of Dialog (an idea suggested by President Clinton's Racism Initiative. Christopher Bear Beam currently lives and works in Austin, TX, and has three children and one grandson.

Victoria entered the teaching profession in 2006 after successful careers in medical sales and executive search. It was her position as Executive Director of The Princeton Review of North Texas that led her most directly into teaching. "I could see that our students were lacking basic content knowledge and that those gaps widened over time," she said. "The bumper sticker is true: Teaching is the profession that makes all others possible."

Victoria was graduated from Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio where she was named a National Merit Finalist. BA in Anthropology was earned at Rice University. In the fall of 2009, Victoria began her graduate studies at Texas State University, where she is working toward the M.Ed. with concentration in the Teaching of Middle School Mathematics. Her teaching credentials include certifications in Special Education (ECE - Grade 12) and English as a Second Language.

While Victoria is a certified generalist K - Grade 8, she is certified in Math through Grade 12.

Victoria has three sons and a daughter, seven grandchildren, two dogs who adore her and a cat who thinks she is a dog. Victoria teaches 7th grade math at Burnet Middle School in Austin ISD.

Roscoe received his bachelor of arts degree from Texas Southern University, Houston , TX., in the school of Industry.

He holds a masters degree in administration and supervision from Tennessee State University, Nashville TN. Additional studies and training completed at the Law Enforcement Institute , University of Missouri-Columbia. His career began in administration as a Executive Director of Shelby County Community Action Agency and ended his working career as a investigator for the State Department of Commerce and Insurance in the state of Tennessee. After retiring and retuning to Austin, TX., he founded the Overton Group , a Spanish-English language project. Roscoe serves as a elder at University Presbyterian Church, trustee on the National Presbyterian Foundation Board, and now, President for the Austin Center for Peace and Justice. Roscoe and his wife Johnnie have a family of three children and he is a grandfather of five.
